IECEE and IEC62368 regulation update

The new IECEE certified product category which was originally scheduled to be implemented on July 1, 2021 has been postponed to be implemented on September 1, 2021.

In the earlier time this year, SASO released document about new IECEE Techinical Regulation. It is said that the enforcement of the Regulation will be officially located on July 1st, 2021, but now SASO postpones its enforcement of new IECEE Technical Regulation for 6 type of products. It is mandatory for these products to own IECEE certificate on September 1st, 2021.

4		Video games and their accessories
5		Electric oil fryers
6		Electric pumps with less than 5 HP

Regarding the applicable date of the standard SASO IEC 62368-1:2020 shall be implemented as the following:

The new date to enforce the standard SASO IEC 62368-1:2020 will be 01/01/2023 instead of 01/07/2021
The test report as per SASO IEC 62368-1:2017 AS (IEC 62368-1:2014) will be accepted until the date of 30/12/2022
